outside the school door.

Pictures from today aren't on the flash drive. I'll send tomorrow.

Cort and Steve compiled this blog of todays events. I will add that tomorrow we go to Court. Garrett's appointment is at 10:00 and ours at 11:00. Pray all will go well, we have no doubts. Hopefully we can post tomorrow too. Then our 10 day wait will start.
It was wonderful and humbling, how they live, when we met with this family this morning, how happy the members are here, how humble their circumstances and the faith they have. There is such a difference between city life and village life. Tonight we are going to visit his Branch president, who lives close to the apartment, but Cort said, in worse conditions than is shown here.

This morning we woke up at 6 and readied ourselves for another Ukrainian adventure. At 7:15 we flew out the door, grabbed a taxi and took off for the train station hoping to make our train at 8:10. well we were 45 minutes early, so we took some time sitting and watching people and watching Ukraine. What an amazing place? Our luxury rail runner pulled in, ok i was joking about the luxury. And then we literally climbed on board. After walking to the end of the train found some open spots where we could spend our 45 min excursion to Grebenikovka(say that fast 10 times, we dare ya). Cort forgot how many stops it was until this 30 person village so we asked our fellow compadres(thats spanish, we are international travelers...) when to get off. They all tried to answer but werent quite certain. Then one brave man shouted over the train if anyone was on their way to Grebenikovka(another 10 times), no one was so he found his way to the front of the train and asked the friendly conductor. Upon his return he said i believe you are on the wrong train. Ok we're are kidding. He said one more stop to go! We arrived safely and were greeted by a wonderful sister named Nina. As we muttled our way along the dirt path through the chickens and dogs we were lead past the barns to their humble abode. And humbling it truly was. We entered to see that a miraculous meal had been made for us served on their best dishes. We ate mashed potatoes, chicken cachitory, pickled vegetables, bread, a homemade grape juice, and assorted cookies and goodies. Misha the husband arose at 4 o clock that morning to bike a 30 minute trek to another nearby village for groceries. While eating we found that there is no plumbing, no water, and only a wood burning stove to cook with. In reality this not only filled our stomaches but our hearts also. After eating we looked at many photographs and then went out and took a tour of the farm. In the village there are 5 houses, 30 people and one train stop. After snapping a few photos they walked us to the station for our return. New friends, great food, thanksgiving for Cort's love and service while in the great city of Sumy. This afternoon we took Laina shopping and bought some books and then enjoyed some tasty filled crepes. Now we are here. That means good bye.
