No Connection

Yesterday we tried and tried and tried to get through to L and we were never successful. We tried Saturday morning, Cort’s missionary buddy Brian came over and we tried for over and hour and never got a connection. He came back after his date at 12:40 a.m. and we tried again and again. We did get a connection for about 1 ½ minutes then it dropped, we tried to get another connection and after another hour, we maybe got through a couple of times for less than 10 seconds. We really wanted to talk to her. We got new letters and pictures from her in the mail too. So that was a real highlight. We only have one more weekend that we will have to arrange for a translator and a time to give her a call. I am so glad that we have done this each week. I really believe that it will help with the attachment. Every letter she has sent, (we have gotten a letter about every two weeks. It takes about 10 days after it is postmarked) she has mentioned our phone calls has written how much she enjoys them and loves to hear our voice. It's sweet how she writes a seperate letter to Lauren and Lexi each time too and draws pictures for us. She must get her artistic ability from her soon to be papa. I hope we have better luck next week connecting. It will be our last phone call to her from the US. It is hard to believe that we leave in less than 12 days! Still lots to do to prepare.
