Hi Everyone,

We made it to Donetsk yesterday evening, just in time to go to the Morgans (senior couple from Idaho) to watch Sunday morning conference live and eat some delicious homemade chili. What a wonderful fun loving couple. We were able to use their Skpe and call some of our kids at home, they haven't been able to get through to us for a few days, so it was good to hear all the happenings.

Yesterday morning we went back to Olya & Volva's house and pick up the costume they lovingly made for Laina. What a humbling spiritual experience to be in their home. Then we went to a part member family. An 18 year old girl, Tanya and her little sister, 10, were baptized last year. Her mom is investigating and hopefully the dad will join soon. They had food for us in their humble apartment and Tanya shared with us her baptism story and showed pictures. What commitment these young people have has 1st generation members of the church.

Then we left and to the Branch building, 3 stories above a casino and watched another session of Conference. The Priesthood Session. For the first hour I was the only female with a room full of missionaries as they anxiously listened to every word as they took notes from the Apostles and Prophet.

We stayed around the branch for an hour or so and Cort visited with members and missionaries. We met the District Presidency, what strong men with such a great responisiblity in leadership in the church as it grows in the Gospel. Hopefully they will be a Stake Presidency soon.

Then we loaded our luggage in Soslan's car, Cort's attorney friend from Dnepr, who drove us to Donetsk in his new Mazda 3 averaging about 150 km per hour, thankfully this was the first transportation we've had with seatbelts. He was happy for the opportunity to drive us (we paid gas money and a little extra) he has a girlfriend her and was going to surprise her. He is a great young man, the previous Branch President and we even had an LDS CD to listen to on the way up.

This afternoon we are meeting with Pres. Andersen and his wife. Cort will have his final interview. It will be an honor to meet with them.

We are in the Morgan's apartment using their high speed internet, they left early this morning to drive the mission van to Kyiv to pick up a new one. It's a 10 hour drive one way. We are staying at a previous missionary couple's apartment which is currently vacant, so it will be nice to have a place to ourselves for a couple of nights.

Well I will add some pictures, since I haven't for a while.
