Laina has done amazing with her English. Still a long way to go, she communicates with everyone. She loves school and doing well, better than I expected, not that I was worried about her learning, just her excitment, her willingness and wanting to try in each class. She's in Pre-Algebra and got 100% on her first test. She says it is so 'easy'. She was worried about school at first because she was in 6th grade in Ukraine and is in 8th grade here. The only class she doesn't like and thinks is boring is US History.

The highlight of the summer was Laina getting baptized and confirmed into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in mid Aug. We had missionaries come twice a week and teach her the gospel and our beliefs. This was a neat experience for our family. Cort would translate for her, what she didn't understand. The decision was completely hers. It was a wonderful, spiritual day.

Lauren finished her Assoiciates Degree this summer - yea for her!!! Since she just graduated from high school in May, this is quite the accomplishment. She is taking the semester off, working fulltime and bought herself a shiny bright red new car.
Trevor and Abbie bought a house and moved into their own place. I just wish it wasn't an hour away. He's back in school also and will take the Paramedic course starting in Jan. Abbie is working so hard has lots of demands with her job. She's a good wife. They love their dogs (except when one ripped Trev's ligament from his thumb and required surgery and 6 weeks in a cast).
Meag and Nath sold their home and are traveling to WA to get their belongings next week and yesterday tied up a darling home to rent. It will be great to get them more settled. Meag is starting to work for Abbie at the furniture stores.
Cort is working at a bank and going to school. He's doing great and make great choices is his wonderful future ahead of him.

Lexi started high school, is on the Dance Company, she had a fall and injury that kept her from performing in their first performance which was sad for us. She has her driving permit. She actually drives pretty well, I'm not as nervous with her driving me as I was with the other kids.
After hitting this wave, Sam flew out and Lexi changed seats. Fun ride for all.
I'm still getting like 100 hits a month on this blog. I would love to know who is following, so leave me a comment.
